Next up we have another Rachel… Rachel Telford! This was her second time performing at #ArtsinthePark and this year she performed in both of Giselle Liu’s pieces: Where the Wild Things Are At Night and Perfect Creatures.
I loved... seeing all my friends again after one year, meeting new people and making new friends who share the same passion for dance as I do. Also, I loved learning new choreography and expanding my knowledge of dance.
I learned... lot of new steps and choreography, how to be more confident on stage as well as how to work with different people and how to dance as a group instead of an individual.
I am going to miss... EVERYTHING! Especially all the memories I have shared with my groups, who have now become my family, in the short amount of time we had. I am going to miss seeing them every week, laughing and smiling with all of them.
Tell us something we don’t know… I wasn't supposed to be in the Perfect Creatures dance, but I was asked to fill in for another person because he couldn't do those performances. I was worried I had to wear the boys costume!
Challenges? Definitely learning the part for the Perfect Creatures dance. I only had two rehearsals before the show so I was worried I wouldn't remember everything in time. My group definitely were a big help for me, they were extremely welcoming and helped me so much with learning and remembering the choreography.
What’s next…? To do more YAF projects and dances and to DANCE DANCE DANCE.
My dream superpower is… to FLY!
